Try These Delicious Chicken Recipes & Start Cooking Asian At Home
I’m passionate about helping people to overcome their reluctance to try cooking Asian food at home. My Cooking App, Farina’s Asian Pantry, is designed to make it easy for anyone to do just that. If you haven’t yet tried my App, however, my website has several lovely Asian recipes on it from my App to give you a “taste” of what it may be like. Since chicken dishes are so popular, I thought I’d highlight my three favorite chicken recipes to entice you:
- Minced Chicken in Lettuce Cups (from China);
- Grilled Chicken Skewers (Yakitori from Japan); and
- Vietnamese Caramelized Chicken Wings (from Southeast Asia).
Minced Chicken in Lettuce Cups
This is an easy appetizer that’s always a hit when I cook it for my friends. Use the recipe as a guide and try substituting ground beef or minced shrimp in the filling. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
Yakitori (Grilled Chicken Skewers)
These soy-glazed chicken skewers are delicious as either an appetizer or served as an entree with steamed rice and vegetables. You can try these skewers made with shrimp and mushrooms too. Makes 4 servings.
Vietnamese Caramelized Chicken Wings
While this dish is authentically prepared in a clay pot, you can make this sweet and savory chicken dish by braising it in the oven. This tasty treat is one of my family’s favorites. I recommend serving it along with wok-tossed greens and rice. Makes 4 servings.
So, there you go … three chicken dishes that your family and friends will likely enjoy as much as mine do. Happy Asian cooking!
Cheers, I just stopped by to visit your blog and thought I’d say I had a great visit.
